📢 Keen to present in 2026? ASVP is now calling for abstracts.
This year, as the Conference is being held in conjunction with ANZCVS Vet Science Week, the abstract submission process is different to past conferences.
- Start by visiting the official ANZCVS event website and selecting “Abstract Submission”.
- You will need to create an author account to manage your submission.
- Read the Abstract Submission Terms and Conditions, and the guidelines under the "ASVP Conference Info" tab.
- Note: if you are submitting a standard research or clinical case abstract for the program, please use the standard guidelines in the tab “Abstract Guidelines” and the appropriate template (Appendix A or B).
Submissions to the Mystery Slide session requires completion and uploading of three documents, ASVP Mystery Slide – Template 1 and ASVP Mystery Slide – Template 2 and Digital Slide Image. - Ensure your abstract meets the formatting requirements and complies with the general policies outlined in the guidelines.
- Submissions will be assessed against clear criteria, so review these carefully before uploading.
Whilst it is preferred that abstracts relate to this year's two themes of Forensic Pathology and Infectious Diseases, it is by no means essential and all member abstracts will be considered. The abstracts can be recent research, clinical projects, or a case series/individual case report involving any aspect of veterinary pathology.
Oral presentations must take place in-person and will consist of 15 minutes total, comprising 12 minutes presentation plus 3 minutes for questions. Members can submit either a standard research or clinical case abstract or a Mystery Session case.
All presenting authors will be required to register and pay for the ASVP & DTF Scientific Conference by the author registration deadline of Friday 15 May 2026 to ensure that their abstract(s) are included in the final program. Authors may also opt to register for the full Vet Science Week program if they wish to do so.
Submission deadline: Friday 13 March 2026
Notification of review outcome: Friday 10 April 2026
Speaker registration deadline: Friday 15 May 2026
