Follow these steps to submit a standard research or clinical case abstract:
- Visit the ANZCVS event website and select “Abstract Submission”.
- Create an author account.
- Refer to the standard guidelines in the tab “Abstract Guidelines” and choose the appropriate template - Appendix A or Appendix B.
- Use the template to copy your abstract into the content box within the portal.
Note: You do not need to upload the Mystery Slide templates unless you are submitting a Mystery Case.
Follow these steps for Mystery Case submission:
- Visit the ANZCVS event website and select “Abstract Submission”.
- Create an author account.
- Enter "ASVP Mystery Slide Session" in the content box.
- Complete and upload Mystery Slide Template 1

*Template 2 can be submitted as a draft version and should include your details and basic case information. A final version must be provided by 31 March.
Note: Delegates who register for the conference will have access to the Template 1 document and digital slide/s so they can provide an interpretation. After the session, the Template 2 document will also be made available with what the presenter considers to be the most appropriate diagnostic information.
Ensure your abstract meets the formatting requirements and complies with the policies outlined in the guidelines.
While abstracts relating to this year’s themes of Forensic Pathology and Infectious Diseases are encouraged, submissions on any aspect of veterinary pathology will be considered. Abstracts may include recent research, clinical projects, or case series/individual case reports.
