One anatomic pathology resident every 18mths, includes research project, aim to complete aim to complete American College of Veterinary Pathologists Phase II certifying examination and membership exams through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Also have option to run similar training program as part of PhD for alternate track American College of Veterinary Pathologists.

James Cook University: 2-3 year traineeship in anatomic pathology aimed at preparation for membership exams through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Usually one trainee at a time.

Veterinary Officer Lab Diagnostic Intern - 2 year training position in pathology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, parasitology, toxicology. One position per year.

Currently has a training focus with three anatomic pathology trainees. The program is individualised with approximately 4 years training towards a competency examination. Intake is dependent on positions available and is advertised through the "I work for NSW website". The veterinary pathology training program at EMAI coordinates mentorship, training modules and online rounds for CVE.
